Digication

eLearning Platform

My Role: Principle Designer
Project Name: Reflect.me (Native Android & iOS App)

Digication is a education software product specializing in ePortfolios and native web applications for students, alumni, and institutions throughout the US.

One of the first projects I had the opportunity to work on was a branding system for the company to be a guide and reference for the team to refer to when working on projects. Design collateral such as typographic rules, photography use, logo and mark treatments, illustrations, and color schemes. These design systems then flowed into smaller projects such as the native app called Reflect.me.

Overview

An App that allows you to share your ideas, photos, audio, and more with your friends, classmates, or family. Create boards and share posts to create a collaborative experience.

Project 2: Student ePortfolio Directory Layout Design

In addition to the mobile app I was also developing templates for a new responsive ePortfolio system that would enable students to post there content easily and customize their own work.

A big part of this project was to update the layouts of prebuilt ePortfolio templates and give the user a more options that were intuitive, easier to edit, and more delightful to view or present. Here is an example of one of the templates on a mobile device.

In Addition to creating templates, we needed to explore ways for people to search, discover, and share portfolios on a school directory landing. Below are some examples of layout explorations.

Project 3: Audio Player Module:

The project was to explore ways to display a students audio file after they uploaded the track to their portfolio. Here are some examples of explorations for the UI.

Part of the requirements were that this module would need to not only work on the native app but on a desktop application. Here is an example of one proposal for a audio track with text description.

Some explorations were a bit more fun to play with and try to push the boundaries a bit.

Project 4: Responsive ePortfolio

Layout and Interaction explorations for ePortfolio layouts and a content management system. Students and teachers could customize their portfolios colors, templates and styles with our editor.

Gallery Module Explores:

Part of the explorations included prototyping interactions how a gallery could be created by a user and shared and viewed on their portfolio. We started with these as high level inspiration and then work backwards.
